Privacy Policy

Hunter App Studio ("we," "us," "our") builds Kaizen Aikido Tracker, Countdown Chameleon, Gameday Countdown, Courtside Countdown, Mod Tally, and Waypoints. This page explains what happens to your data when you use them.

The short version

None of our apps show ads, use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, sell your data, or require you to create an account with us. Most of what you enter stays on your own device. Waypoints can also keep your list in your own iCloud, and it uses Apple's maps and weather services. Those are explained in the Waypoints section below.

What's true for every app

• We don't run ads and don't work with ad networks.
• We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We don't require account creation, email, or sign-in to use any of these apps.
• Support requests sent to us (see Contact, below) are used only to help you, and to improve the apps.

Kaizen Aikido Tracker

Kaizen stores your training log, classes, techniques, promotions, entirely on your own device. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party. If you delete the app, your data goes with it, so back up anything you want to keep.

Countdown Chameleon

Countdown Chameleon stores your countdown and theme settings entirely on your own device. The app makes no network connections at all, it works fully offline and shares no data with anyone.

If you tap "Add to Calendar," the app asks for permission to add events to your calendar. It uses "Add Events Only" access, which lets it create an entry for your countdown but not read anything already in your calendar. Nothing about your calendar is sent to us or to anyone else, and you can turn the access off at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

Gameday Countdown

Gameday Countdown stores your saved schedules, team selections, and color preferences on your own device.

The app makes one outbound connection: a read-only request to a public college football scores endpoint, to show live scores in the app. No information about you or your device is sent as part of that request, it's a one-way pull of publicly available sports data, the same way loading a webpage would be. We don't control that third-party service and aren't responsible for its availability or content.

If you tap "Add to Calendar," the app asks for permission to add events to your calendar. It uses "Add Events Only" access, which lets it create game entries but not read anything already in your calendar. Nothing about your calendar is sent to us or to anyone else, and you can turn the access off at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

If you are signed in to iCloud, Gameday Countdown copies your lists, your favorite team, and your calendar records to your own iCloud storage so they appear on your other devices signed into the same Apple ID. That data goes to Apple's iCloud under your Apple ID. The developer never receives or sees it. You can turn syncing off with the switch on the Schedule tab, or in your iPhone's iCloud settings.

Courtside Countdown

Courtside Countdown does not collect, store, or share personal information.

• What stays on your device. Your lists, schedules, favorite team, and settings are saved only on your device. There is no account to create, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The app contains no third-party tracking tools.
• Calendar access. If you tap "Add to Calendar," the app asks for "Add Events Only" access. This lets it add game times to your calendar. It cannot read, change, or delete anything already in your calendar. Nothing is added unless you tap the button.
• Live scores ticker. The scores ticker loads a public scoreboard feed from ESPN. Like any request over the internet, ESPN receives standard connection information such as your IP address. The app does not send your name, your lists, your location, or any identifier. If the feed is unavailable, the ticker simply shows a quiet message.
• Schedules and time zones. The game schedules are built into the app and updated through App Store updates. Game times are shown in your phone's own time zone, which the app reads from your device and does not send anywhere.
• Backups and sharing. "Download Schedule" and "Upload Schedule" use the standard iOS Files and share sheets. Any file you save or share goes only where you choose. "Copy Link" copies a link to your clipboard and uploads nothing.
• Children. Because the app collects no personal information, it collects none from children either.

Mod Tally

Mod Tally stores your time entries, pay-period settings, and typed signature entirely on your own device. The app makes no network connections, it works fully offline and shares nothing with anyone.

When you print a timesheet, save it as a PDF, or export your data as a file, it goes only where you choose to send it. We never receive it. If you delete the app, your data goes with it, so export a backup first if you want to keep it.

Waypoints

Waypoints is your personal travel list: places you want to go, places you've been, ratings, notes, and photos. There's no account and no server of ours involved, so we never receive what you enter.

• On your device and in your own iCloud. Your trips, places, ratings, notes, and photos are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, Waypoints also keeps them in your private iCloud storage so the same list appears on your own iPhone and iPad. That copy belongs to your Apple Account and we have no access to it. Apple's terms and privacy policy cover iCloud.
• Photos. If you add a photo, the app may ask for permission to use your camera or photo library. Photos stay with your list (and in your iCloud, if sync is on). They are never sent to us.
• Maps, place search, and weather. When you search for a place or open a map, Waypoints sends what you typed, and the area you're searching near, to Apple Maps. To show the weather for a city, it sends that city's approximate location to Apple Weather. These requests go directly to Apple, not to us, and Apple's privacy policy covers them. Waypoints doesn't use your device's location and doesn't ask for location permission.
• Sending a place to a friend. When you choose "Send to a friend," Waypoints builds a link that contains that place's details (its name, address, phone number, website, and notes, plus the name you chose to enter as your own). The link goes only where you send it, through the app you pick, such as Messages. If the person has Waypoints, it opens the place in their app. If not, it opens a simple page on hunterappstudio.com that shows the place. The details are in the part of the web address after the "#," which browsers don't send to any server, so we don't receive them. Like any website, that page is served by a web host that may keep ordinary technical logs, such as IP addresses, and it loads its fonts from Google Fonts.
• Sharing a card. "Post the card" makes a picture on your device and hands it to your share sheet. It goes only where you choose to post it.
• Backups. Export saves a file of your list that goes only where you choose to send or keep it. We never receive it.
• No ads, no tracking. We don't use this information for advertising, we don't sell it, and Waypoints has no analytics or tracking in it.

If you delete the app, the copy on that device goes with it, but the copy in your iCloud stays until you remove it in your device's iCloud storage settings. Export a backup first if you want to keep a copy.

The earlier free web test version of Waypoints is separate. It's a shared list for several people, kept in Google Firebase, and it uses OpenStreetMap place search, so what's entered there is visible to the people who share that list.

Children's privacy

Our apps aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll address it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use the apps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
